Estadio Antonio Vespucio Liberti | Football Stadium

Estadio Antonio Vespucio Liberti, also called River Plate Stadium or El Monumental, is located in the Núñez district of Buenos Aires, Argentina, with a capacity of 62,000. It is took as the home football stadium of the football club River Plate. The football stadium was the main football stadium in the 1951 Pan American Games and the 1978 FIFA World Cup. Besides, four finals of the Copa América have been hosted at the football stadium.


Prior to the 1978 World Cup, the football stadium was renovated, allowing 74,624 spectators enjoy wonderful international competitions and minor tournament at a time. In addition to football facility, the stadium also equipped with facilities for tennis, basketball, and other sports. Different with other stadium’s underground football stadium, there is a large parking lot outside the football stadium.
